WOW $1 for all of this!!

I got another great deal over at Rite Aid.  Which I should have paid $1 for but I lost my $5 off coupon somewhere between when I left work and Rite Aid, but I still got a great deal.  As you can see on my receipt I paid $16.94 and saved $33.00.  Rite Aid is mailing me a $10 rebate check for making this purchase which means I will only be paying $6.94 for 3 packages of diapers, 2 tubs of wipes and 2 large bottles of Clean & Clear.  I also could have got 10 Johnson & Johnson baby products for free with rebate but they were completely sold out of  all of those...I guess I better get there sooner on these great deals:)

Rodeo

The rodeo was pretty lame this year...it rained on us and it was windy....but the kids seemed to still have fun.

Crazy Coupon Lady

So I am slowly becoming one of those "Crazy Coupon Lady's" that I thought I would never be. I hate clipping coupons and I hate giving the cashier coupons when I check out, not to mention I hate making the poor people behind me that picked the wrong line to get in because now I am holding them up....aaaahhh. But I have to say when I look at it as it is FREE money that is given to me and it is my choice to use it or not then it becomes easier to cope with. I have started to becoming addicted to collecting coupons and trying to see if the next time I go shopping I can get a better deal then the time before, Doesn't always work like that but I have to share the latest deal I got. I went to Target the other day and I felt like I should have had a car waiting outside for me. I totally robbed the place. Check out what I got for $5. Awesome isn't it.

Im Back From The Dead:)

I have been so bad about updating my blog, but I know that I need to start doing it again . So I have a couple of post I will post and then I should start clicking along again. Yeah!!

Thanks to those of you who still check it every once in ahile to see is anything has changed:)

Gingerbread House

Daxton went over to Grandpa and Grandma Westbroek's house and they made this cute little gingerbread house. It's one of those that you make from a kit. I always wondered if they would turn out ok or if they would be really cheesy or dry and brittle. But it turned out so cute and it smelled like they just baked it fresh. Wow the things they come up with. Thanks Grandpa & Grandma for doing this with Dax.

Las Vegas

We went to Las vegas over the weekend and we had a great time as always. This is Paul's second time driving a race down at the Speedway in Las Vegas. The first time he drove a formula one car on the oval track and went between 130-150 mph. This time he drove a small BMW on a road base track and went between 60-80 mph, and he said that it was a lot more fun. We met his sister Janice and her husband Rob down there, and Bryan and his boys came down from St George to watch. We stayed at the Loews in Lake Las Vegas, which is our favorite place to stay. It is so beautilful out there out on the lake, and you always feel like you are the only one staying there.

Thanksgiving

We had such a nice Thanksgiving. It was so nice to see all of our family. We haven't seen most of them for about 5 months. We really need to get go up north and see them more, it's just so dang cold up there.

Halloween!!

I love Halloween! We went Trunk or Treating with Charity-Ann, Mason & Tayton. The weather was perfect. Daxton was so excited that his grandma Cherry and great grandma Searle were able to come down and go trick or treating with him. The kids had such a good time dressing up, and I love to see how cute and creative people can be.

We went to Julie and Bryan's house for dinner, which was awesome (thank you guys)!

Dinner in a Pumkin!

Who would have thought that cooking dinner in a pumpkin would be good? I tried it last night and I loved it. I thought it had a good flavor and it was really simple to make. The only thing is it takes 1.5 hours to cook, so plan ahead. I hope you all enjoy it as much as my family did.

You will need:
One medium sized pumpkin (about the size of a soccer ball)
1 1/2 LB Lean ground beef
1/3 cup Chopped green peppers
3/4 cup Chopped celery
3/4 cup Chopped onion
1 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Black pepper
2 TBSP Soy sauce
2 TBSP Brown Sugar
1 can Mushrooms
1 can Cream of chicken soup
2 cups Uncooked instant rice

To start, In large skillet, combine ground beef, green bell pepper, celery and onion. Cook over medium heat until ground beef is browned. While this is cooking, get your pumpkin ready. Carefully cut a lid on the top of the pumpkin. Remove lid and remove all of the seeds and guts. It helps to use a spoon to scrape the inside, you'll want to get most of the stringy stuff out. During the pumpkin cleaning process, you need to keep an eye on your ground beef mixture. When it's done, you'll want to add the remaining ingredients to the mixture. Mix well.

Place your pumpkin on a foil lined cookie sheet and scoop the ground beef mixture into the pumpkin. Place the lid back onto your pumpkin and put into oven at 350 degrees for an hour and a half. It's not necessary to check on your pumpkin during cooking, by taking the lid off it will expand and no longer fit.

To serve, cut pumpkin into wedges and scoop filling on top. This way you can eat the pumpkin and filling at the same time, which has a really good flavor together. This makes around 6 servings (we had plenty of leftovers).

Who Are You?

I'm a Esme! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!
Take the Quiz and Share Your Results!

This is so fun! I stole this idea from my friend Melissa's blog (thanks Melissa). Take the quiz and then comment and let me know who you are.

Im Esme. This is what it said about me...
You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family. A loving home is of great
importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcome. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be
sensitive. You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and
appreciate the kind way you always handle things.

You guys can decide if it's true or not.

Oprah Show

Daxton is such a cutie. He is the best big bother anyone could ever ask for. Everyday when I pick the kids up Dax asks me to tell him How Bria was at daycare. He said that he would like a report everyday when I pick him up so he knows how she is doing, or else he said that I could pick him up first so he can go to her daycare with me and ask them himself. I told him that I would make him a deal, if he told me something that he learned at school that day I would tell him how Bria did. He thought it was a great idea.

Dax told me that he thinks I should take Bria to the Oprah show so I can show Oprah how smart she is, because Oprah always has the smartest kids on her show. He thinks that everything she does is so amazing, he is so fasinated with her and loves her beyond belief. I keep looking for some sort of jealousy in him but he is more like a little parent then a sibling. Bria is very lucky to have him. Thanks for making life enjoyable Daxton.

Les Miserables

Me and the kids went with Rebecca, Charity-Ann and Abbie to see Les Miserables at Tuacahn. We went to dinner first at Chilli's and then we went to see the show. It was a really good performance, I have always liked this story even though I think it is a sad story. The kids were a little restless and had a hard time making it until 11:30pm when it got over. I would definatley recommend seeing this show.

Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell with our friends Mike, Rebecca & Charity-Ann this weekend. We had a great time. I love Lake Powell it is one of my favorite places. It's so peaceful and the red rocks that tower over you are absolutely beautiful. We always have so much fun hanging out with them. Daxton and Charity are almost the same age and they act like brother and sister. They even fight like they are siblings, but they love to talk, and they are usually talking at the same time. They crack me up. I'm sad that summer is ending, we love to go boating. Maybe now I can get more things done around the house.
